4:30 A.M. Wake Up Call

July 24, 20251 min read

For months before I headed to Australia and Southeast Asia, I had been feeling the Lord tell me to wake up and pray at 4:30 each morning. I am not a morning person, so this was straight obedience, and I didn’t really know why He was having me wake up so early.

I had never visited a country where the call to pray in Arabic happens early in the morning, so the first morning I was in the country where I was startled awake by the call to prayer, I realized God had been preparing me for this. Sometimes we do not know why God is asking us to do something. We might know in the future.

Questions for Reflection:

What is something God has asked you to do, or is asking to do that makes no sense in your present time?

What does God want you to know?

What does God want you to do?
